President
  • Preside at all meetings of the organization
  • The official spokesperson of the of the organization representing the policies, views, and opinions of the organization in its relations with the campus and community at large
  • Creates a calendar of all events at beginning of the semester
  • Runs the officer meetings, chapter meetings, and addresses the public at events
  • Acts as liaison between the chapter and the national office
  • Implements new ideas to improve the fraternity.
  • To run for President, the candidate must have already held an officer position in past years. This is to ensure that the candidate already has an idea of the commitment that the position requires. However, exceptions to this rule can be made at the officer board’s discretion.    
Vice President of Internal Affairs 
  • Maintains internal conflict occurring within the fraternity
  • Presides at the organization meetings in the absence of the President.
  • Works with the president to make sure events run smoothly, filling in for the president or other officers if the president cannot tend to duties
  • Point person for Pillar group planning
  • Oversees with the pledge masters and makes sure that the pledge process runs smoothly
  • Acts as academic chair and performs one-on-one meetings with members in academic probation 
Vice President of External Affairs 
  • Assist the President in smoothly running the organization and fill in for the President if the Vice-President of Internal Affairs is unavailable
  • Keeps track of previous and current alumni
  • Establishes relations with external organizations, both on and off campus
  • Represents the organization at the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics’ Inter-Club Council. If the Vice-President of External Affairs is unable to attend the meeting, they must find a replacement.
  • Stays up to date with other local chapters of Beta Psi Omega
  • Collaborates with the Vice-President of Internal Affairs to manage Pillar Event planning
Secretary 
  • Taking notes at meetings
  • Counting ballots at elections
  • Sending out emails and minute after every meeting
  • Keeping track of attendance
  • Disciplinary measures and collects fines
Treasurer
  • The treasurer handles all financial affairs and budgeting of the organization
  • They maintain AS Agency Accounts in the organization’s name, which requires signatures of the Treasurer, President, and Advisor.
Service Chair
  • Responsible for facilitating and coordinating volunteer events
  • Organizes all volunteer events and to motivate members to participate at such events by ensuring adequate publicity and notice of events.
  •  Maintains and updates the volunteer file on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for providing the club with speakers that are knowledgeable in their area of interest. 
  •  Acts as the primary host to any invited speaker on the day of the confirmed meeting.
  •  Responsible for ensuring that the meeting room will be ready on the date assigned by the program coordinators.
Recruitment Chairs
  • Welcome events for rush week and selecting students to become pledges
  • Planning professionalism week and conducting interviews for pledges
  • Ensuring pledges pass the constitution test and the Greek alphabet test
  • Monitoring the pledges during their pledging process [ensure they abide by the constitution, are being active in their assigned activities, and contribute to the fraternity]
  • Reviewing Big/Little Applications
  • Planning initiation
Historian
  • Creates and administers the constitution examination to the members
  • Organizes group social events
  • Collaborates with the Secretary and a third party to count ballots during elections
  • Records event attendance by taking pictures at events
  • Completing the yearly report
  • Plans Founder’s Day in March.
  • Manages Social Media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Website)
